SESI is a private provider of specialized education services for children and youth facing learning, language, and social challenges. SESI offers a variety of day school programs that are customized for students with disabilities and at-risk youth. These day schools go by the names: High Road School, High Road Student Learning Centers, High Road Academy and Sierra Schools.

High Road Academy of Prince George’s County (High School)
High Road School of Prince George’s County is a Type 1 educational program serving the instructional and behavioral needs of emotionally disturbed adolescents in a supportive and structured environment. The program is designed to focus on personalized academic and behavioral goals so students may return to a less restrictive setting.
The High Road School of Prince George’s County is administered by a Program Director, Mr. Darin L. Sipe, who is responsible for its operation. Ms. Carmen McGinnis, Director, provides additional administrative support. High Road has gathered an interdisciplinary staff to provide a comprehensive special education program. In addition to a Program Director, High Road School employs Certified Special Education teachers, Assistant Teachers, four full-time Social Workers and two interns, as well as, consulting Psychologist, consulting Speech/Language Pathologist, consulting Psychiatrist and consulting Occupational Therapist as needed.

Ms. Carriann’s home economics class has exciting plans for this school year. They have already learned several recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are learning their way around the kitchen as they cook different meals and bake delicious treats.
Community Book Fair
High Road School of Cecil County hosted a book fair for students, families and the community this October. The event served as a way to connect with the community while promoting a message about the importance of reading and literacy.
A New Era Begins
The High Road School of Southern Maryland celebrated the opening of their new building with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept 28th.
